WHOOOOO'SSSSS MOO?

I know you are all perplexed by the title of this particular post, but...who is Moo? The question is basically asking, "Who is that in this guy's corner?" "What camp is that guy from?" "Who does that guy know?" all these questions I merely call "Moo" the mystery factor of the game that somehow places president over someone's actual fighting skill, persona, or the fight itself when it comes to what promotion signs you, if you win or lose a fight, what sponsors you get, and how you are treated in the world of MMA. I just "fought" at SCC4 in Las Vegas on Feb 16th...a VERY good show that treats the fighters well and is ran by a VERY good guy in Joey Varner. I fought a guy named Paulo "Bananada" Goncalves Silva, and "Moo" in this case was Team Noguiera and Anderson Silva's top student who was on a 10 fight winning streak. Leading up to the fight all I was reading was about what team he was from and how Anderson was going to be cornering him at the event...I even stumbled upon Sherdog's "10 Feb tussle to watch" of me vs "Bananada" in which the article promoted how good the guy was, what team he was from, how he should be in the UFC already but isn't because he's Brazilian, and, oh yes, how I am a tough guy as well. During round 1 I chased the guy and checked his kicks, following with counters that never landed flush and a few kicks of my own. He pushed me against the cage, while holding the fence itself to keep me in place as I landed knees, and the crowd boo'ed his tactics prompting Mazagatti to make him let go of the fence and I turn him to it and...break...he splits us up for the round to keep going the same way. Round 2 is the EXACT same thing except with me landing more kicks than before and pushing him to the cage and broke up within literally 5-10sec of doing so. In round 3 I just went at him and dropped him with a backstep right/left hook as he rushed me. I went to pound out the finish but he was working a "Shogun" half guard sweep as Mazagatti told me to watch the back of his head. He got a double and lifted me to slam me, but was reversed mid air to me landing on top again, doing damage, and letting him up. He shot in and took 2 knees and elbows that almost crumbled him and then began to run and kick to keep me at bay. As the 10sec clapper went off he did, what can only be described as a magician's hands movements, acting as if he wanted to fight me as I backed up looking for a counter. Judge's scorecards read...he wins UD. Fans reaction...boo's. Anderson's reaction...shakes his head and whispers to me I won. Journalist reaction...all told me I won. Greeting fans reaction...told me I won. Fighters reaction...all told me I won. My reaction...laughter at the loss of the fight and my title fight and dreams that were lost along with it. Who's "Moo?" in this case? Anderson Silva...who cornered him and brang ALL the attention everyone hoped he would...till next time folks

Happy NY everyone! So to give a little insight on the NY thus far to everyone...James is healing up from the cut on his head and will be back to training soon and fighting by March, CSA (combat sports academy) has added new coaches, a new strength and conditioning regime to go with their old routine, Val Ignatov is teaching extra sambo classes during the week, a new MMA class has been added, new equpiment has been bought...TONS of new equipment! As for me? Well, I THOUGHT I was returning to my old stomping grounds of TPF, but you know how that goes, sooo a promotion that DOES respect what I bring to the table, SCC, hit me up to fight for them on Feb 17th in Las Vegas at the Orleans Casino...be there or be whereever the f**k you are! Heading into the new year...

So the year is coming to an end for the GoonSquad folks. This year the GoonSquad went 2-0-1 with me, isaac dejesus went 0-1-0-1NC, and James went 1-1. We all are gonna train through the holidays and hope to make 2012 a HUGE year for the Goonies, the team at CSA, and the guys over there at Thrive mma. James last fought 12/10/11 on a new show in Dublin,CA called impact mma vs AKA's Ron Keslar. After a rough first round, the fight was stopped due to a cut on Jame's forehead that the doctor did not check..AT ALL! It is what it is now, water under the bridge, and he will come back stronger. I personally would like to thank coach Kirian Fitzgibbons, Val Ignatov, and the rest of the homies at CSA for all the help and the love. I wish everyone happy holidays, and more news will be coming soon :)

What happens in Vegas...

Yo Yo! So here is the latest update for you all since a lot has happened in a short time. So I get a call Tue night asking me to fight yet ANOTHER Xtreme Couture guy in Steve Lopez, and of course, I accept. I fly out to Vegas morning and start doing medicals all day and cutting weight, I do more medicals Thur morning, cut weight, and weigh in. How much weight did I cut you all ask? 20lbs, yes the same amount of weight that Chris Leben cut vs Munoz that they say caused a bad performance, did FA get tired, no..course not. The fight was Friday the 4th. To me it was a boring fight because they guy did not one time attack me, he would wait for me to attack, shoot, hold OR wait for me to attack, duck his head way low while throwing Belfort-ish behind the ear type right hooks wildly (he was southpaw). This of course lead to a terrible fight because it is hard to finish someone playing 100% defense and have to guard your "sweet spot"..plus the guy had a chin! (I head kicked him 4x). To make matters worse, they had a ref who could not tell time and fouled me for a legal elbow ( even his teammates told me it was legal), he played the theatrics, ref took a point faster than Fantastic Four fleeing from Galactus, and the fight was a draw. All in all I met great doctors, the show was very well put together, and the owners of Superior Cage Combat treated me VERY well. Big thanx to Tri for watching my son, Trinity for having things ready in Vegas for me, James for helping me with the weight cut (who himself fights AKA's Ron Kessler in Dec in Dublin.CA), Lew Polley, Mark Beecher, and Kevin Ross for cornering me, and all my sponsors on my sponsor page. Oh and thanks to Kirian Fitzgibbons for not kicking my leg off for taking the fight not 100%..yes, that's right, FA is so sick! so savage! so brutal that I did all that on two days notice while not even healed up from surgery lol!

Ok, sorry I've been gone for so long folks so let me bring you all, well, UP TO SPEED! Ok so first bit of news is that I'm about 90% healed up from surgery and am ready and CAN fight whenever, which of course is good news that I'm excited about. Secondly is that James "Dr.Jekyll" Chaney, after getting four matches and it going to the dumps for one reason or another four times..now has a fight! Next weekend, Nov 5th, he will be fighting Billy Carothers for RAGE 2 THUNDERS: THUNDER VALLEY at the Thunder Valley Casino in Lincoln,CA. We have both been training our a**es of at CSA with our coaches there, and I've been personally working with the owner Kirian Fitzgibbons whom, at least any REAL athletes, should look into for his character, which most closely resembles that of Mickey from the "Rocky" series in his actions, caring, and most importantly, words he gives to his students and me in private which have changed my mindset and self belief to new levels. So, for all of the #Goonfamily in the twitter world and those of Fallen Angel's followers #theforsaken and Dr.Jekyll's followers #jekyllarmy, James won his fight at the Playboy Mansion by triangle choke in the first round. The only damage he took is when his opponent stomped his face like a vintage Pride match, in which the ref did nothing and FA about lost is mind. After a great after party and week in Vegas, "Dr.Jekyll" is preparing for his next match in Canada for Aggression MMA on Sep 16th...on to the next one.
UPDATED: The promoter tried..and tried..and tried..but after looking up, who he thought was merely a feeble scientist becoming a monster in his fights, James opponent, Mike Scarcello, would not take the fight.
UPDATED 9/27: James Chaney is now fighting co-main event vs Zak "Crash" Bucia in Blue Lake,CA on Oct 15th!. The GoonSquad would also like to thank Jacon and his team at Elite Sports Physical Therapy for helping FA with his surgery rehab!

Breeding Grounds...

It finally happened. During the course of my 6yr long career and Jame's 5yr long career, we have followed a VERY similar course..first coming into contact with MMA at AKA San Jose & AKA Idaho, Lion's Den branch respectively..both spending a career fighting with injuries, James one, and myself three..both training ourselves by watching dvd's, fight videos, and sparring wherever and whoever we could find, just to get ourselves "tough enough" for compition, with our skills aquired in a way few have had success with in the sport, yet alone to gain Jame's record of 13-2 and mine of 17-4-1. Yes, we both have come across people who have helped us for a short while across the way..but that's no trainer, that's not someone trying to build an athlete, someone trying to make a champion..until now. CSA in the bay area CA is where the two main members of the GoonSquad have taken up home. Me, myself, I was skeptical at first because, on two visits before when James went to spar, the owner and myself, both proud, stubborn people, had bumped heads, but on my first day there as Jame's visited family in Idaho, I knew this was the place to be. The place was filled with top boxers/boxing trainers, top jitz players/trainers, top wrestling coach, everyone was nice, everyone was RIPPED..I mean, even the ladies because of a top of the line strength and conditioning progam, open to cross training to the point of even bringing in other people to spar every week, beautiful women, and most of all top kickboxers and, the owner of the gym, Kirian Fitzgibbons, who has an unwordly knowledge of boxing, muay thai, dutch kickboxing, and blending them all together..that, along with the fact he makes time for everyone, isn't a yes man and let's people know EXACTLY what it is, and builds guys from scratch, make this place great as a striking first, full MMA gym that is constantly evolving and growing. For James and myself, who have been on our own, then together, to now have a REAL camp and trainers, this is a breeding ground for legendary monsters like Godzilla, King Kong, or King Ghidora..a breeding ground for beast. Remember it..CSA, Combat Sports Academy..it's the reason, and the blame, for a lot of future loses on people's records. The first of which stars with the mad one himself "Dr.Jekyll" James Chaney, fighting at the playboy mansion Aug 27th..be there or be..wherever the f**k you are!

Planted Seeds...

Hi everyone, and thank you for continuing to follow me on this crazy journey of mines. I will keep you as up to date on things that I possibly can. As of right now, my title fight for Tachi Palace Fighting in Dec is off till 2012, though I will be fighting in Dec still vs a TBA opponent. I am now working with a swell Canadian fellow named Adam out of Canada, and have found that Canada seems to be a cool place, with cool people, and hot..HOT women lol, and he is assisting me in finding more opportunities out there, and right now Europe seems to be VERY into me. My whole career, along with training myself with dvd's, I have been fighting with a number of serious ailments for 4 1/2 of my 6yr career..how I've been successful at all I have no clue..hate of my doubters lol. In my free time I have taken up getting one of the ailments fixed a few weeks back, and like the Tailed Beast that I am, was back in the gym 2 days later and am healing up post surgery, nicely. The doctor told me that I am "build like a horse", and I plan to be built like a T-Rex by the time I step into the cage next. I finally found a place with good training partners and good trainers NOT about the money at CSA in Dublin,CA, and will be building my skills to an unseen level out of me that could not be obtained from self training with dvd's alone. I plan to be trained there, continue using my dvd's and working with Goonie #1 "Dr.Jekyll" James Chaney, building my body with my new strength program, my mind with books, and fixing my ailments one by one till my body is 100% then I will show the world that those the media tell you are the best...aren't. The seed is planted...now all I have to do is water it.
WARNING: On a side not for my fans, I had a HORRIBLE experience at a Pho restaurant. I went to get a boba drink which I absolutely love and was introduced to a fruit called durian as I spoke to my man and Team Thirsty member Lew Polley on the cell and he advised me not to smell it. Goon Squad assistent Mz.Tri warned me that she caught a whiff and I bought one for James, as, he is a monster and eats anything. For those who don't believe in karma..it's real! Before I even got the drink to James I had to smell it for some reason to see what the buzz was..BAM! Suddenly Paul "Semtex" Daley appears in my car, or so I thought, and hits me with his patented left hook to the head and body. Moral of the story? DO NOT SMELL NOR EAT ANYTHING MADE OF DURIAN FRUIT

Overcome...

To start, FA won his fight June 11th in Commerce,CA at the commerce casino for BammaUSA vs Cub Swanson's TRUmma fighter, Dionisio Rameriz. Fighting through the death of a friend, family issues, a CSAC member out for blood and his money, in-genuine friends, short notice, no training, a bad weight cut, one corner man dealing with a death and the other sick, FA was left without his arms and striking and had to switch up the game for a hard fought win against someone most thought easy. From the start of the fight, anyone who had seen FA fight before could tell something was wrong as he threw no strikes and opted to close the gap with takedowns and muay thai clinching and knees. The fight took another road during this time as his opponent was impossible to hold from the very start of the match and glistening in the light and also was holding the cage over and over...follow that with FA getting low blowed numerous times and the ref, Larry Landless, breaking the two up whenever FA would do major damage with knees and things started to seem bleak. After a few crazy mix up's, step up corner man, Antonio McKee, also known as "Mandingo", gave FA advice before round three to make an effective game plan bullet proof and seemingly seal the deal. After the fight FA had one more thing to contend with...the judges, who, after winning all 3 rounds, still someone gave FA the win via split decision. After the fight FA gave a speech letting the crowd know about the trials and tribulations he had gone through before the fight and to cherish their TRUE friends because they can be gone any day, love their kids and take care of them, and F the rest. The fight, in FA's own words, was more against himself than anything and helped him get over some of those issues and the death of his friend and Goonie Sergio Salcido...next time, those burdens off his shoulders, he'll be back to his normal explosive self and ready to OVERCOME once again...

To everyone that was at the Tachi Palace fights on May 6th, it was good seeing you all and hope to see you at their next show. Keep supporting the show and it's fighters. GoonSquad members James Chaney & Isaac DeJesus were both on the card this time. James made weight easy, while Isaac missed weight and was made to give up 20% of his purse & his 145lb belt. James was up first vs Kenny Ento and lost in the 2nd round by doctor stop. Isaac was second to go, and though the fight was still 5x5min round even without the belt on the line, he didn't need much time in disposing of Russ Miura, as he ended the fight by TKO in the 1st round. Already FA has gotten a call or a fight early June and James has gotten a call for a fight late May...details coming soon...

It's finally here folks! This friday at the Tachi Palace Hotel & Casino, GoonSquad member "Dr.Jekyll" James Chaney will get the chance to take his newly mixed formula and walk deep into a cavern to awaken, and face, a sleeping Dragon. The last time James was able to take his formula was back in 2009 with a win at Rebel Fighter. Since that time no one has wanted a piece of "Dr.Jekyll" and he has been turned down fight after fight...after fight. Since then he has been in his laboratory working, pondering, mixing and matching new formulas..some red, some green, some..a color that could only be explained if you took the most potent of LSD mixes. During his trails and errors in the lab, he has obtained a new blood red mix to unleash "Mr.Hype", and he is planning on painting that color all over the mats of the Tachi Palace this up coming Friday, May 6th. Kenny "The Dragon" Ento is a former PFC Middleweight champ that suddenly stepped out of the game in 2008, only to reappear in 2011 with a win at TWC 10. Many wonder does this Dragon still breath the flames from it's mouth that lead it to a middleweight strap, or has time worn it out, leaving only puffs of smoke in it's place. a half monster vs a beast this Friday..be there or, well, be where ever the f**k you are!

A Goonie that's gone...

It's a sad day today. MMA fighter, Goon Squad member, and my good friend Sergio Salcido Luna was killed today at 2:40am, heading to work from Mexico back into the U.S. From what I have heard so far they got into a verbal confrontation with someone while driving, whether they knew the person or not is unknown, and the person, unbeknown to them, followed them. While waiting to cross the border, the man walked up the row of cars and let off five shots from a 9mm and killed both Sergio (25) and his friend Kevin Joel Romero (28). Anything else I get I will let you all know. All articles of Sergio will be posted in the MORE MEDIA SECTION under "Goon Squad media" as well as here. In other notes, FA and "Dr.Jekyll" James Chaney are dealing with both Ryan and Caroline Tobin of Rino Sports Galleri out of Denver,CO in litigation. They are NOT managed by these people and have been asking for a release since early Feb 2011 due to NOTHING being done for them. The Tobin couple have been trying to get money out of both fighters for no services rendered and both fighters refuse to give in, citing that people doing business like this are the exact kind of people who added to Sergio's sadness and bad business. Hi fans! To update you on all on the going on's of the GoonSquad. FA has been "chillin" since his win over UFC/IFL vet John "Quick Guns" Gunderson and fielding offers from promotions. Also he has been in business dealings with Rino Sport management of Denver,CO which are beginning to become heated as, business is going the totally opposite direction in which was told to FA and soon if things are not settled the MMA world will be informed so that it does not happen to them. Besides that FA had been helping "Dr.Jekyll" James Chaney get ready for a May 6th grudge match vs "Just" Mike Martinez in which, Mike pulled out the fight at the very start of a fight training camp siting "injury" as the reason after all the back and forth smack talk and pre-fight hype. James has a new opponent already...Kenny "The Dragon" Ento, former PFC middleweight champ, higher caliber opponent, and better opportunity for James to get back in the game with a big win and onto the next thing. Also on the card is GoonSquad member Isaac DeJesus who will be defending his TPF 145 belt vs Russ Miura. So far Issac has been training at his gym in Madera as well as David Terell's gym in Santa Rosa,CA. James and FA will be linking up with Isaac midway through the fight camp to finish it up. Also James and FA did a huge photo shoot at the "Goon Base" (Fitness 19 in Tracy,CA) with photographer Daisy Rosas which has been posted in the 2011 pics folder here as well as the facebook page of FA so check it out and find Daisy on FB if you want to schedule a photoshoot. Hi to all the fans of FA and the GoonSquad. Here we are giving you an update on what is going on with FA and the Goonies. FA has decided that managing himself, training himself, and finding his own sponsors has come to a standstill and for him to take it to the "next level" he must fill the voids in all those places. Though N.Cali has 3 real MMA gyms, the politics kill things up this way as, trainers only train "big time guys", sponsors only sponsor "big time guys" and guys they know, and the same thing goes with fight promoters and fights. Talking with Evan Shoman, Hedi, and a couple of other people, someone told FA that "In N.Cali people help out friends or theirs or friends or their friends. In S.Cali people recognize talent down here, if you are talented and they can make money off of or with you, they are for it, plus there are people down here who do things that can lead to more in MMA and outside of it...this is hollywood land!". After hearing this and about how S.Cali is filled with a pleathora of MMA gyms and Jujitsu gyms and how his "charisma would matter down here because there are people down here who matter", FA started to tweet about his possible move down that way and was met with positive responses from a lot of people in the fight world and out and would like to thank everyone for the love. N.Cali has been nothing but empty/broken promises, heartbreak, and being on his own besides his Goonies and he looks for a fresh start where people would be willing to mold and help him. He is looking to move down to S.Cali in Dec and there will be 5 people total...2 fighters, 1 debt colletor, 1 real estate/boxing coach, 1 aviation worker. On another note, FA and "Dr.Jekyll" James Chaney will be taking a S.Cali "gym tour" soon to pick a location in which works for them and they are welcome....any gyms out there holla!

The dust has settled, the dust has cleared, the talk is over, the fight is over. After months of talking, being messaged on facebook, racist slurs spit his way, pushed at weigh-in's, and mean mugged at the start of the fight, your favorite fighter FA put a total beatdown on John "Quick Guns" Gunderson and LITERALLY did not get one time over the course of the fight. FA dominated the action from start to finish with VICIOUS ground and pound, purposely not going for submissions or standing back to his feet just to play the ground game with "Guns" who had told FA at weigh-in's that he would "choke his ass out". At the end of the 2nd round "Guns" was slow to get up and told FA that he would "like a rematch" and again told him that to start the 3rd round saying "I'm sick, can I have a rematch" after FA had asked him to touch gloves...the TKO came at the very beginning of the 3rd round. 2 UFC vets, 2 Tap Out Vegas members, 2 stoppages early 3rd round...keep it going for the GoonSquad...*evil smirk* evil...council..mmhmm..mmhmm. FA would also like to thank his sponsors for all they do, few real friends and fans for support, and welcomes all the new people and fans he will meet in the future. Recently everyone's favorite fighter FA did an interview with "The Project", owner of Tachi Palace Fights that was placed on Sherdog.com, yes the SAME Sherdog that FA sent 6 fight dvd's into, only to never have them returned or added to his record. The next day the article was posted on Sherdog.com in a place that could not only not be found but was written up in a way to discredit FA's fighting credentials and make it seem as though it was a "good guy, bad guy" routine in which FA was the bad guy and slandering his opponent with no respect. The very next day John "Quick Guns" Gunderson, FA's opponent for TPF: All Or Nothing on Feb 18th 2011, did a response interview on mmaweekly.com in which he said FA was "disrespectful" for his remarks, only to make the same remarks back in a tit for tat type deal, also saying that he is "angry". Also, contrary to what he said in his sherdog.com interview, he took back, conflicted, and contradicted himself in an effort to get back at FA, thus, making himself look like a liar and idiot to anyone paying attention. In other news: After locating old friend and role model Steve Del Fierro from his original Thai Boxing gym when he was younger, FA looked to add him on as an additional Thai boxing coach for the GoonSquad. After a few training sessions to "test" FA & "Dr.Jekyll" things started to get weird with his business partners talks being ALL about money and Steve saying the cryptic words "Don't trust anyone in life, not even me". After a another training session and a sad story from Steve talking about what he has become in life and the few things he has left, one of them hopes of being a world class famous trainer, FA and Dr.Jekyll went in for another training session a few days later only to find the doors locked while clearly hearing people inside. After going around all the way to the back of the building and knocking on the door, they were met by Steve's head peeking out the door saying "You can't come in", "This is not going to work, I'll call you later", and "I don't know about this", all without ever stepping fully outside to talk like a man. FA is Buddhist and firm believer in Karma, and this shows why the things he has left in life are ONLY those things, also both FA and Dr.Jekyll were a big help to their guys in the gym and had already helped the guys in couple of different ways, thus, it is Steve's and that gyms loss both ways. FA knew this guy and looked up to him when he was a kid and after hearing his story hoped to add him on as an additional trainer to be reunited with an old idol and also help him out...but even idols fall from grace. But don't fret folks Roberto "Hitman" Garcia and the boys at Pacific Ring Sports in Oakland,Ca are still the permanent striking coaches of the Goonies and getting things popping, as they do in "The Town".

Full Circle...

It's funny in life how everything comes full circle. FA has always followed a few philosophies in life...be yourself, treat everyone well in life and it comes back to you, and be honest with oneself in order to be honest with others. Back when FA was young and visiting CA, he used to clean the mats of Team USA in San Francisco,CA in order to train under Master Kru Sam. During his time there he used to look up to and idolize a brilliant young fighter named Steve Del Fierro, who was a multiple time champ with more belts still on the way. Steve used to give FA pointers and find time to help him out, even during his vigorous training schedule. Now, years later, After his first striking coach in MMA left him for bigger fighters and more money, and his second MMA striking coach got lost to him amidst rumors of deception, deceit, and hate on his part toward FA, FA has now reunited with the fighter he used to idolize turned trainer Steve Del Fierro, someone he knows he can trust, was a good fighter, is a good trainer, and who will help take him to the next level of striking as well as teach him life lessons along the way. Here's to the two growing together as fighter and coach, having good times, traveling together, training together, learning life lessons together, and making that greeny green green together. FA has been on trips in CentralCali and did commentary for the pure combat-home turf show in Visalia, ca. In alightweight 8man tourney FA cornered former training partner/student Darren"Destruct" Crisp to a dec victory over late replacement JaredPapazian while Darren's opponent who pulled out, Joe Morales, sat in the crowdtalking about what he "would have done". FA got in some jujitsu atthe box owned by Tom Owens and would like to thank him for the training. FA has been busy with otherendeavors besides fighting because in recent events the promoters of cagecombat and pure combat offered him no fights and in some cases took lessquality "cheaper" fighters. Also at the 1st ever striker event inStockton, ca over 15 people turned down the fight with FA leaving him with noopponent and no money to be made, instead having him do play by play at theevent, which to, never happened. San Francisco held there 1st pure pankrationmatches where Jake shields and Gilbert Melendez had many of their new fighters puton a show and your boy FA was a judge....good event in a big city with a largecrowd. FA fought Carlo Prater fromBrazil for the PFC vacant lightweight title at PFC 13: Validation. During thematch which was comprised of 5 3minute rounds, FA attacked Prater with powerfulpunch/kick combinations why Prater used his height, jab, and ackward movementto keep FA away, close in, and hold him in the corner marring him with knees tothe groin and punches to the back of the head and doing nothing besides anoccasional takedown in which FA would get back up. In the end Prater won aboring dec and the belt.

Fallen Angel has been out oftown helping out some of the fighters at Buhawe fight camp in Fresno,Ca for thePFC bout they had on Jan-22-2009. During the event FA did play by play for theBrian Cobb vs Lance Wipf fight in which it was announced that FA gets a titleshot vs Cobb on May 8th in the PFC...make sure you watch FA's commentating inthe media section under "Fallen Angel commentating at PFC 12".Afterward FA went down to LA to attend the fit expo and do some meeting andgreeting as well as handling business with his manager Malki Kawa along withThiago Alves, Bobby Lashley, and Tony Dominguez. FA is now back home gettingback in shape and preparing to make 09' a huge year...stay tuned.

On Thurs Nov 20th Fallen Angelfaced off with Japan's vet and former KOTC lightweight champ

Takumi Nakayama. After arespectful faceoff the two started the round with a few back and forthexchanges before Takumi initiated the clinch and began to work his Black beltlevel Judo vs Fallen Angel's potent Dutch kickboxing. The two styles all butcanceled each other out with Fallen Angel landing a few potent knees here andthere before they seperated again. Takumi threw a kick, which was caught, andfollowed by 3 right hands knocking him to the floor where he used rubber guardto tie FA up. FA finally broke loose and did some ground and pound beforeTakumi went for a leglock and then got a takedown right as the round ended. Inround 2 Takumi landed and overhand right and tied back up working his Judo vsthe Thai boxing again but this time tripping FA who got right back up andlanded some knees, one of which Takumi was dropped from and said it was to thegroin, yet it was the same kinda knee that dropped Chuck Kim and he might havebeen finished off if not for this vet tactic. After taking his whole 5 minutesto recover he tied right back up, worked a Judo trip into back control, andjumped on FA's back working for a choke the last 30seconds of the round. At thebeginning of round 3 FA yelled at Takumi that there was one round left and tofight him and quickly took the center of the ring and landed a 2 hit combo thathad Takumi rushing in after him. Once again it was Thai vs Judo and Takumilanded a trip and FA got right back up and began working knees. The rest of theround played out this way until FA landed two bodyshots followed by a head shotthat had Takumi rocked and running across the ring, only to stop and throw aspinning back kick which was dodged and FA threw a flying elbow to end thefight. FA wins by decision. FA would like to thank all the people who helpedhim for this fight . Norma, Jen, Tony, Bills, Chuck, Wrestler Tony,Aracely, Adrienne, Gia, Cindy, and Ashely. Welp fight day is herefolks...Nov 20th the palace fighting championships 11: All In card ishappening. After the weigh was squared off with Angel's opponent the fight wasaccepted and is on. Angel is already in the 559 area rehydrating and preparingfor war as is his opponent. In funny circumstances Takumi asked Angel to take apic with him next to the weigh in ring. Lots been goin on with FallenAngel since he last fought folks. Basically he has just been working on hisskills all around as far as mma is concerned, all of it's facets, and studyingfor a test for a new trainer job. In that time some "friends" havegone because they werent the word and others have surfaced and are also newtraining partners now as well. Besides all this he's been traveling aroundgathering new sponsers, working things out with old ones, and replacing coachesthat fell of for money and other such things. In between all this he hasgathered a new boxing coach, Felipe Martinez, a few new sponsers, all the whilegetting beat up helping Nate Diaz train for the Josh Neer fight that justhappend last night...and he says "congrats to Nate and hopefully trainingwith him did something though he doubts it lol". He is about to go out oftown to attend Palace Fighting Championships 10 in Lemoore,Ca sovisit him there and help support that promotion and then he's set to return ina few weeks to start his training camp for his next fight at PFC 11 in Nov.

On Friday July 18th at the PFC 9in Lemoore,Ca Fallen Angel and Chuck Kim had a very technical 2 round fight inwhich Chuck Kim fell to Fallen Angel's power at the 2minute mark of round 2. Inthe first round Chuck Kim quickly closed the distance with a takedown attemptwhich FA blocked and fought off for the majority of the round until Chuck Kimthrew a right hook and FA threw a knee at the same time that had Chuck Kimwalking backword almost doubled over. FA went in for the kill in which ChuckKim shot in but it was stuffed and he got stuck in the clinch and dropped withknees. Upon getting up he was rocked with a right hand a dropped again, theremainder of the round saw FA on top doing some Ground n Pound. In round 2 Fawent back to the attack but Chuck Kim shot in and once again it was stuffed. Fafinally free'd himself with a knee that dropped Chuck Kim and Fa finished himoff with a series of vicious punches. After the bout FA screamed at Chuck Kim"One pound!? you thought one pound mattered!?" because duringweigh-in's Chuck Kim had brushed FA off with one had telling him to go cut 0.7of a pound or he would not fight him. Cooler heads prevailed and FA apologizedto Chuck Kim's camp and both parties went on their way. On May/8/2008 Fallen Angelsigned a deal with the Palace Fighting Championship, based out of Lemoore, CAand ran by Christian Printup. All of his fights will be broadcast on ComcastDigital Cable on a few weeks delay. Recently Fallen Angel was at the PFC eventon May 8th and the Pure Combat event on May 9th in Stockton, Ca meeting andgreeting fans and cornering various fighters in the respective matches. Visalia had it's 1st mma eventever in the form of brand new promotion Pure Combat: from the ashes. DamienDouglas fought a 3 round war with Mario Rivera and lost a hard fought decisionin Mario's area. "Fallen Angel" Dominique Robinson fought John"Cen-Cal" Kid Reedy in another 3 round war and lost by decision...INcen cal coincidently. Reedy came into the fight with much improved Muay Thai inthe form of leg kicks and elbows from working out at the new Buhawe gym inFresno,Ca. Throughout rounds 1,2,and 3 Reedy would land occasional takedowns,never finishing them as Angel would immediately get right back to his feet,never allowing the takedown to be completed. Throughout all 3 rounds Reedy heldthe fence so Angel could not turn him off of it and got warnings and threats ofa point taken away...which never happened. Near the end of round 1 Angel caughtReedy with a knee to the body that doubled him over and in the middle of round2 Angel dropped Reedy to his knees with a knee to the head and took mountbefore Reedy reversed, picked Angel up and slammed him on his butt, only forAngel to stand right back up. In the end the decision....uanimous at that, wasawared to Reedy...who by the way backed up the entire fight and only landed 2-3punches the whole match and got a 3 minute break after the 1st round for a"tore mma glove". All the fans and fighters told Angel he won...ifyou were there...you decide.....

Fallen Angel fought this pastweekend at Cage Combat 5 vs his Myspace enemy, Zachariah Yngojo. Entering thering second, Fallen Angel bounced in front of the cage while staring at hisnemesis. Upon entering the cage, the two had a heated staredown ala Silva vsRampage. The fight starts and Yngojo throws an overhand which is parried, thentaken down and pounded right after. As Yngojo attempted to stand up, he foundhimself receiving about 8 flushed knees prompting a doctor stoppage due to aHUGE cut. Afterward Fallen Angel yells to him that "This isnt Myspacecuz!" while doing his hands like he was typing on a keyboard andYngojo walks up to Fallen Angel and another stare down happens with Yngojotelling Angel "We can do it again" and again saying "Yea wecan....but why?" It was the most drama filled fight of the night. Catch iton dvd for all those who missed it. 1st round TKO at about 2:20.

Well it's on folks, On Oct 6that the san mateo fairgrounds fallen angel will be fighting his myspaceantagonist/hater/envy filled friend Zak Yngojo who tried to first talk shit toa woman friend of Angel's followed by talkin shit about Angel to Angel's womanfriend. When addressed with the problem Angel tried to talk to the kid aboutsaying somthing to a woman instead of him in which Zak said he would fightAngel on the streets with no weapons and this and that. Angel trying tosolve the issue easily and without the drama said he would go to his gym andspar him in which the kid retaliated saying if Angel did he would have hiscousins shoot him....showing his cowardice in weapons and having someone elsefight his fights. Now after having a few fights of his own the kid has grownsome balls and wishes to put Angel in his place while at the same time havingto make sure he doesnt get put in a place of his own. On Saturday July 14th FallenAngel participated in a Pancrase rules match in Stockton,Ca and fought thehometown favorite to a draw in his own backyard in 3 rounds full of back andforth action of a kicker(opponent) vs puncher(fallen angel) type of match thathad each style canceling the others out. Fallen Angel has been traininghard in Northern Cali alongside the Diaz brothers, Jake Shields, GilbertMelendez and others from the Cesar Gracie fight team, as well as Kings Boxingin Oakland preparing for his next fight and future opponents. Recently, he hasalso aquired the services of Chris Sanford, the famed manager of GilbertMelendez, as his manager to take him to the next level in the sport.

On April 28th Fallen Angelparticipated in the 8 man tournament in Meced,Ca. The way he planned thingsbefore the tournament is that it didnt matter who won outta Miura and Villascoit would be a tough fight for both of them, Reedy would beat Wallace after agood run, He would beat Jara quickly, and Klarcyk would have a good runwith Smitley. The in round two he figured Reedy would have a tough time withwhomever won outta Miura and Villasco and he would have a semi tough time withKlarcyk to meet a more worn out Reedy in the finals....well things ALMOST wentas planned. The venue at the event was very nice with two semi full sized mats,a music and food booth, and two big screens to show the event to the crowd. The1st matches went as planned and Angel faced off with Jara expecting a quickwin. As it turned out the big weight cut and same day fight had a effect on himas his muscles didnt produce the output they usually do and his cardio waseffected so he played a more conservative game, not fighting off takedowns asmuch and relying more on playing guard and upperbody locks into takedownswhich, despite his sapped strength still was enuff to score the win but withmuch more trouble than need be. In the 2nd rounds things went as planned and inthe backroom Angel addressed his problems to his teammate Darren Crisp andother guys from AKA who were at the tournament also. After getting his armsrubbed down and hydrated a little bit more Angel felt like his old self as heentered his 2nd match with Klarck. About 20seconds into the match Angel slappedon a tight guillotine choke that he jumped guard with and the ref made himrestart for no reason and gave Klarck 2points for a takedown. Angel was aboutto argue with the ref but thought about all the youths there and stopped in themiddle of a complaint figuring he would just catch him again later...and hedid. Klarck shot in a scored a takedown after Angel attempted a choke and triedto jump to half guard but Angel turned on his side and caught him in half guardbut the ref gave Klarck 3points for side mount even though 1 they said aposition had to be held 3seconds to count and 2 it was half guard not sidemount. Klarck stood and let Angel up trying to play a point game as he was thewrestler of the two and he shot in again only to be caught in another tight choke.Klarck tried to roll off the mat to escape but only made it near off and thered made Angel release again, and this also happened a 3rd time. After a failed5th choke attempt, Angel started to stand from the bottom and Klarck pushed himback down and somehow the ref gave him 2points for a takedown from the groundand another 3points for being in Angel's half guard. Klarck stood with Angelchasing him down as time ran out giving Klarck the win. This ref also messed up3 or 4 other peoples matches and was takin out as a ref far to late. Good firstshow with a few flaws and Angel though dissapointed is sure it will get betterover time.

On April 14th, Fallen Angel, hisprotege' Darren "Destruct" Crisp, and newcomer Telly Sanders went toa MMA smoker at Samurai Dojo in Exeter,Ca. Darren won a grappling match bytriangle choke in under 2 minutes and can be found on the front page of theVisalia Times-Delta newspaper for April 16th. Telly Sanders was quick to takehis opponent down and throw the ropes in the opening seconds of his match. Asthe two fighters were restarted in the center of the ring, Telly caught hisopponent with a straight left and followed it with a huge takedown slam. Withknee on belly Telly began to rain down punches on his opponent and finished himwith a keylock from mount. Fallen Angel found himself in a dilema of sorts ashis opponent was a student of a good friend of his, thus he promted the kid tomake their match no headshots. Fallen Angel peppered the kid with leg kicks asthe kid fired off body kicks and front push kicks of his own, most of whichwere checked or caught by Fallen Angel who punished the kid with bodyshotswhile telling corner man Darren Crisp that he "doesnt wanna hurt" thekid. After throwing a body kick, Fallen Angel took the kid down and ended theround on top looking at Darren. In round two the kid came out game throwing aChuck Liddell overhand right which Fallen Angel blocked and told the kid"hey no headshots, trust me you dont wanna do that" and the fightcontinued. Now Fallen Angel got the kid in a thai clinch and proceeded to swinghim all around the ring while destroying his body with knees, but the kid hungin their and was game. Getting along takedown into mount, Fallen Angel pepperedthe kids shoulders with punches, prompting him to turn his back where FallenAngel went for an armbar as the round ended. Fallen Angel won his fight bydecision telling the kid that he was game and would be good one day andtellling the kids trainer Tom Owens "told u i would go easy on him"while judge Reggie Moor looked on telling Angel "Hey you were beingnice". Congrats to all three and to the always helpful IanShaw who was the team captain for the day.

In a series of unfortunateevents Fallen Angel was not able to participate in the warriors cup in stocktonon april 7th. After doing all his medicals for the CSAC a 2nd time (1st timenear the end of 06 only for them to say it has to be redone for 07) he wasinformed that blood work was now 1month instead of 3 and that his physical hadevery know illment checked off (somehow, someway because nothing was checkedwhen he turned it in from his doctor). After pulling off the near impossibleand finding a doctor to re-do his blood work and physical on a days notice hemakes it to the weigh-ins and turns in his papers only to hear that his guyweighed 138lbs and Angel was to big to fight him and that he was replaced byone of Urijah Faber's boys. How this mix up could have happend....well thereare many speculations how a lightweight was set up with abantamweight/featherweight. Angel wants to say sorry to the two promoters whohad come to see him fight and to all the people waiting to buy tickets and thepeople who did buy tickets and were let down. Unlike most of the fighters whogot their medicals paid for for them by the promoter Angel not only used moneyand time for his 6weeks camp but also paid for all his medicals himself exceptfor the MRI which was paid for by the promoter, and some of the medicals hepaid for 2x because of the CSAC mixing things up. Outta the pocket training andmedicals cost him about $1500 and he didnt get anything in return not even atraining fee.
